Sample Sale Agreement

This agreement is what the seller will provide to ensure that the puppy is healthy. The agreement includes a contract between buyer and seller of all legal rights provided on the date of sale. Please read carefully. Buyer will be asked to sign this document when the puppy is picked up to go to his or her new home. Buyer will receive their own copy of this agreement for their puppy records.

By signing this sales agreement, the buyer acknowledges that he or she assumes complete responsibility for the health and welfare of the above named puppy when it leaves the seller’s establishment. There is no guarantee regarding color, size, and future internal and external problems.

At the time of sale this puppy is guaranteed to be in good condition to the best of the seller’s knowledge. If the puppy dies or is determined by a veterinarian to have a contagious, infectious, parasitic illness, or becomes clinically ill within 10 days of purchase, or if the dog has or dies from a congenital or hereditary defect or is certified through physical examination to have a defect which adversely affects the animal within 30 days, you may do one of the following:

1)    Return the puppy for a complete refund of the purchase price;

2)    Return the puppy for a replacement puppy of equal value (if available);

3)    Retain the puppy and receive reimbursement for the vet, fees NOT exceeding the original price of the puppy.

 

Failure to notify the seller of the conditions within two business days of receiving veterinarian’s certification of illness complete with a signature will result in forfeiture of rights. Refunds or reimbursements will be made no later than 14 days after seller receives the veterinarian certification. After receiving official documents from veterinarian with a signature and contact number for veterinarian, buyer has five days to present documents to the seller.

The seller assumes no responsibility on this puppy after leaving the premises for medical expenses, mortality, landlord’s disapproval, an allergy to the animal, disagreement with family, or any other reason. It is further understood and agreed that no warranty or representation has been made with respect to the sold puppy, except those that have been set forth in this agreement.

Seller does not guarantee hips, due to the many factors and time span involved with hip dysplasia.

 

 

THIS GUARANTEE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THIS DOG HAS BEEN EXAMINED BY A VETERNARIAN. THE PURCHASER IS ENCOURAGED TO HAVE THIS DOG EXAMINED BY A VETERNARIAN AS SOON AFTER PURCHASE AS POSSIBLE. SPECIFIC PROVISIONS ARE PROVIDED UNDER SECTION 9.3 OF THE UNFAIR TRADE PRACTICES AND CONSUMER PROTECTION LAW.

 

 

All of the Information provided in this Guarantee of Good Health is true to the best of my knowledge and belief.
